For several years, Dr. Johnston’s office has been a partner with two schools, Sope Creek Elementary and Dodgen Middle. We have been involved in many of the programs for both schools and have established the “Science Achievement Award” at Dodgen. This award is given annually to the eighth grade graduate who excelled in their science GPA and show a desired interest in science. |

The Partner in Education program was established in Cobb County as a means to involve local businesses in school programs. A collective effort of the Cobb Chamber, the Cobb County Public School System and the Marietta City School System, this program matches organizations with a school, a class or a school program to provide volunteer support, extra funding or unique services according to the school’s needs. Partners in Education aims to motivate students to learn, recognize and encourage teachers and foster good community-school relationships.
